The previous episode of Lovestruck in the City closed with a thrilling scene—Suh Rin-yi (So Joo-yeon) and Kang Geon (Ryu Kyung-soo) catching Lee Eun-oh (Kim Ji-won) and Park Jae-won (Ji Chang-wook) together in front of Eun-oh’s house.
Titled What Kind of Woman is She?, this episode reveals whether or not Eun-oh’s friends have finally found out that she is Yoon Seon-a, the camera thief, on top of unveiling the new personality that Eun-oh has embraced right after her romance with Jae-won in Yangyang.
Eun-oh’s special cockle ramyeon
When both Eun-oh and Jae-won are unable to come up with an excuse for why they’re together, Rin-yi guesses that Jae-won must be the client Eun-oh had a business meeting with earlier. Unaware of the growing tension in the air, she then invites Jae-won to eat ramyeon with them. It appears Rin-yi and Geon are fans of Eun-oh’s “special cockle ramyeon,” her signature dish during rainy days. Unfortunately for Jae-won, the chef herself makes sure that he doesn’t get served a single cockle in his bowl.
Rin-yi finds a way to be happy
Kyung-joon finds out that Rin-yi got fired from her part-time job at the cosmetics store and has been unreachable for quite some time. Worried that she might be feeling down and crying alone somewhere, he goes to Geon’s office in hopes of finding her, but Geon tells him that he doesn’t know his girlfriend at all. Rin-yi’s bright and happy face then takes over the screen as she is shown walking a dog in the park.
While eating the spaghetti and meatballs that Kyung-joon has cooked to comfort her, Rin-yi excitedly tells him that her new job—dog-walking—allows her to exercise while earning a decent amount of cash. Kyung-joon asks if she still wants to pursue her dream of becoming a teacher. He offers to pay for her tuition should she decide to go for it. Uncomfortable yet appreciative of her boyfriend’s kindness, she says that college is not for her and that she is truly happy with how she’s living her life right now.
Eun-oh wins the bid for a new project
In spite of the sudden decision of Eun-oh’s landlord to increase her rent by 20 percent, it seems that she won’t be, in Rin-yi’s words, starving to death anytime soon. Our freelance marketer ends up winning the bid for the complex cultural center project that O3 bid for. Although her company is the smallest among those that joined the bidding, Eun-oh’s impressive work has emerged supreme. Hooray for freelancers and for Eun-oh!
Jae-won stalks 03_lovely
After too many failed attempts searching for Yoon Seon-a of the past, Jae-won now tries to look for Eun-oh’s Instagram (IG) account and winds up in the feed of O3_lovely. While checking out the photos, he discovers that many of her posts refer to her fond memories of him and their brief summer love. Jae-won realizes that unlike what she has been claiming, Eun-oh might not have moved on from him after all.
A kiss for a kiss
Jae-won drives to Eun-oh’s place so hurriedly that he hits the side-view mirror of O3’s service car. He admits that the accident was entirely his fault before saying that he is also at fault for being Park Jae-won and for having Eun-oh as his ex-wife. She acts displeased by the term and growls that she is sick of hearing it. In turn, Jae-won asks for the whereabouts of the kind Lee Eun-oh, to replace the woman in front of him. After a funny squabble about who seduced who first, Eun-oh’s necklace breaks and their couple rings fall to the ground.
“What’s your deal?” At long last! Jae-won has asked the very question that we’ve all been wanting to ask Eun-oh all this time. He demands the truth from her because the posts on her IG and the fact that she has been keeping their wedding rings with her can only mean that she still loves him. Speechless and cornered, Eun-oh gives in to her feelings and plants a kiss on Jae-won’s lips. She then attempts to leave, but Jae-won quickly grabs her and pushes her against the car to beat her unexpected move with a more passionate and heartfelt kiss.
