Netflix has added another upcoming drama to its roster! Love (ft. Marriage & Divorce) 2 will stream on the over-the-top (OTT) media giant.
On June 10, an official from the network TV Chosun announced that Love (ft. Marriage & Divorce)‘s second season is set to stream simultaneously on Netflix. The show will premiere domestically on June 12. It is the latest in line of Korean dramas to adopt a multi-season format following tvN’s Voice and Hospital Playlist and SBS’s Penthouse.
Love (ft. Marriage & Divorce) stars Sung Hoon (My Secret Star), Lee Tae-gon (One Well-Raised Daughter), Park Joo-mi (ID: Gangnam Beauty), Lee Ga-ryeong (The Invincible Lady Cha), Lee Min-young (Doctor Prisoner), Jeon Soo-kyeong (Cheat on Me If You Can), Jeon No-min (Joseon Exorcist). It tells the story of three women in their 30s, 40s, and 50s who work at the same radio station and face unexpected marital troubles.
One of the themes of the first season was that men were prone to cheating on their wives. Aside from infidelity, each couple in question has misunderstandings that bring them conflict and sorrow and could lead to divorce.
The series has been created by Im Sung-han, a screenwriter who goes by the pseudonym Phoebe. The first season of Love (ft. Marriage & Divorce) made it to the list of top 10 Netflix shows watched in South Korea, just four weeks after it began streaming. The show went on to take over Space Sweepers, South Korea’s first space opera film that had become the most-watched Netflix content in 28 countries.
Love (ft. Marriage & Divorce) 2 is set to be TV Chosun’s newest Saturday-Sunday drama starting June 12. It will be directed by Yoo Jung-joon. Watch the drama’s first teaser here.
