Lim Na-young to star opposite Kwon Hyun-bin in new web drama ‘Romantic Hacker’

Shortly after the news of Kwon Hyun-bin’s participation in Romantic Hacker, the upcoming action-comedy web series has now revealed that the actor is to be paired up with a leading lady who can also sing—former PRISTIN member and rookie actress Lim Na-young!

Romantic Hacker centers on the mind games played by hackers surrounding the Jeju International Exchange as they deal with blockchain cryptocurrency.

Lim Na-young has signed up to play Jo-hee, a young lady who sometimes gets into trouble for being too honest. Because of her unaffectionate father, she has gotten used to not receiving the same amount of love that she gives to people. Despite her emotional wounds, she still dreams of experiencing the kind of romance that only seems to happen in fairy tales. Being lovely and wacky at the same time, Jo-hee is someone who will add color to the story as she shares refreshing chemistry with her childhood friend, Jae-min.

Meanwhile, Jae-min is set to be portrayed by rising actor Kwon Hyun-bin. He is a genius student with extraordinary analytical skills who goes against members of a felonious black-hat organization. However, his expertise in digital technology appears to be balanced out by his naivety and inexperience in the world of romance.

Having gained positive attention in for her performance in the survival show Produce 101 and finishing in tenth place, Lim Na-young, also known as Im Nayoung, made her debut as a member of the project girl group I.O.I in 2016. When I.O.I disbanded in less than a year, she joined another group called PRISTIN in 2017, but it also only lasted for two years. The singer is currently trying her luck in the field of acting and is set to make her small-screen debut as part of the supporting cast of tvN’s psychological thriller Flower of Evil (2020). The upcoming web series will mark her first-ever lead role in an acting project.

Romantic Hacker is set to air in October.
