Award-winning actress Lee Young-ae is confirmed to make a special participation in SBS’s highly awaited Friday-Saturday drama Taxi Driver.
“Lee Young-ae will lend her voice in a request video within the show. The animated clip will serve as a gateway to the exclusive services that are available in Rainbow Transport,” the drama production announced.
Taxi Driver revolves around Rainbow Transport, which offers revenge services to various victims of abuse and oppression. Their drivers slash agents operate under the slogan, “In a society without justice, one call is all you need.” The drama stars Lee Je-hoon (Where Stars Land), Esom (Save Me 2), and Kim Eui-sung (Arthdal Chronicles), among others.
Lee Young-ae, who is known for her soft facial features and delicate voice, formerly rendered strong acting performances in the television dramas A Jewel in the Palace (2003) and Saimdang, Memoir of Colors (2017). The 50-year-old actress also made recent headlines for confirming her appearance in the upcoming crime-action-comedy series Koo Kyung-yi. Through her voice cameo role in Taxi Driver, Lee is expected to introduce the viewers to an unforgettable and daring trip towards social justice.
Taxi Driver is slated to premiere on April 9 at 10 p.m. KST, replacing Penthouse 2.
