Lee Yeon-hee transforms into smiling tour guide in ‘The Package’ poster

Lee Yeon-hee, who is currently playing a warm-hearted chef in Reunited Worlds, transformed into a bright tour guide in her character poster for The Package, the upcoming romance drama on JTBC that was filmed in France last year. The series is a travel-themed, completely pre-produced drama starring the actress and CNBLUE’s Jung Yong-hwa (The Three Musketeers).

Lee Yeon-hee is playing Yoon So-so who is working as a tour guide to help pay for her tuition at a French university. The drama tells the story of her journey to love upon meeting a solo traveler in a group of tourists she is accompanying on a package tour in France. The tour is participated by seven individuals, including Jung Yong-hwa’s character, and will last for 8 nights and 10 days. Her reaction to this assignment contrasts with her smiling appearance in the poster while holding a tour guide flag: “Ah… I really can’t take this team.” The reason behind her reluctance to lead the group will be revealed during the first broadcast of the drama on October 13.

The actress shared how she prepared for the shooting of the series. She revealed that she studied French culture and history, watched French movies, and learned the basics of the French language. Doing all these helped her portray her role better and be able to act and communicate with actors and people in France. In addition, she also expressed her excitement to watch the series after waiting for over nine months since the drama ended its shooting in France last year, saying that she is looking forward to the memories of shooting the drama that she can recall in the first episode.

The Package will show Lee Yeon-hee’s character as an endearing tour guide who will build strong relationships with people she has never met before. It is expected to deliver a solid emotional punch considering that it was helmed by PDs Jeon Chang-geun of family-centered What’s With this Family and Kim Jin-won of melodrama Innocent Man. The screenplay was penned by The Slave Hunter writer Chun Sung-il.

Me? Just an ordinary lad with an extraordinary (says this something called 'stereotype') habit of watching Korean dramas. It started with action-filled City Hunter and the rest, as they say, is history.
