Lee Min-ki, Nana to pair up in new rom-com drama ‘Oh! Master’

MBC’s upcoming romantic-comedy series Oh! Master has found its leading couple in stars Lee Min-ki and Nana, an exciting development confirmed by both the actors’ sides.

Oh! Master will tell the push-and-pull relationship between a man who “chooses” not to date and a woman who is “unable” to date. Their love lives go even more haywire when circumstances drive them to live together in a single house.

Lee Min-ki is set to transform into the male lead character Han Bi-soo, a screenwriter who is critically acclaimed as South Korea’s best when it comes to writing thriller series. Despite being a sought-after bachelor, Bi-su opts to remain single and spend all his energy on his craft. Lee is best known for his roles in various romantic-comedy series, including Love Truly (2006), Dalja’s Spring (2007), Because This Is My First Life (2017), and The Beauty Inside (2018). Most recently, he showed his versatility as an actor by appearing in the thriller drama The Lies Within (2019).

Meanwhile, Nana has signed up to play the female protagonist Oh Joo-in (Joo-in translates into “master” or “owner”), an actress tagged as the “Rom-Com Queen” who ironically finds herself unable to date anybody. After making her debut as a member of the girl group After School, as well as its subgroups Orange Caramel and After School Red, Nana ventured into small-screen acting through a support role in The Good Wife (2016). Three years later, she went on to play starring roles in the series Kill It (2019) and Justice (2019). Just recently, Nana has impressed the viewers with her humor and natural talent in the romantic-comedy series Memorials (2020).

Oh! Master will be spearheaded by director Hyun Sol-ip of You Drive Me Crazy! (2018) and screenwriter Jo Jin-kuk of Love Is Annoying, but I Hate Being Lonely (2020). It targets to air in March 2021.
