Lee Min-ho introduces his character in first teaser for ‘The King: Eternal Monarch’

SBS released on Friday the first-ever teaser for its upcoming drama The King: Eternal Monarch featuring lead actor Lee Min-ho.

In the 30-second teaser, Lee Min-ho (Legend of the Blue Sea) says through a voiceover, “I am the emperor of the Korean Empire. And my name is Lee Gon.” The video is posted on YouTube and Twitter, although it is not available in some countries.

The King: Eternal Monarch is a fantasy romance drama about a Korean emperor (Lee Min-ho) who teams up with a modern-day detective to close a dangerous portal that connects their two parallel worlds. Kim Go-eun (Goblin) plays the detective named Jung Tae-eul.

The series is one of the most anticipated Korean dramas of 2020 as it is penned by Kim Eun-sook, who wrote the award-winning series Mr. Sunshine, Goblin, and Descendants of the Sun. It will premiere on SBS as a Friday-Saturday drama in the first half of the year.
