In the run-up to its premiere on February 22, tvN’s upcoming drama Hi Bye, Mama! has dropped its third teaser.
Kim Tae-hee (Yong-pal) and Lee Kyu-hyung (Doctor John) star in this fantasy drama about a woman named Cha Yu-ri who dies in an accident, leaving behind her husband and only daughter. Five years later, she comes back to the human world to stay by her daughter’s side, thanks to a 49-day period given to her to complete a mission and win back her life as a human.
The new 30-second teaser follows the same comic tone set by the previous two teasers. Lee Kyu-hyung, who plays Yu-ri’s husband and a surgeon, is seen rushing to a police station all sweaty and breathless after receiving a report about his wife. As soon as he spots his wife at the police station, he collapses in shock and passes out.
The policemen discover that Cha Yu-ri’s death had been registered in 2015, and nervously glance at her. She shoves her husband, who wakes up with a jerk and announces that his wife died five years ago. When he sees his wife sitting beside him, he passes out again. Cha Yu-ri then gives the policemen an embarrassed smile on her husband’s behalf.
Hi Bye, Mama! is Kim Tae-hee’s first drama in almost five years. It is directed by Yoo Je-won (Abyss) and written by Kwon Hye-joo (Go Back Couple). The series also stars Go Bo-gyeol (Arthdal Chronicles), Shin Dong-mi (Doctor John), and Oh Eui-sik (When The Devil Calls Your Name).
