Lee Ki-woo to appear in JTBC’s ‘My Liberation Diary’

Actor Lee Ki-woo is all set to join the star-studded cast of JTBC’s upcoming drama My Liberation Diary

My Liberation Diary revolves around three siblings living in Sanpo Village, trapped in monotonous and frustrating lives. One day, a mysterious man appears in their lives. Kim Ji-won (Lovestruck in the City), Lee Min-ki (Oh! Master), Lee El (When the Devil Calls Your Name), and Son Seok-koo (Designated Survivor: 60 Days) are confirmed to star in the show. 

An official from Lee’s agency Never Die Entertainment confirmed that the actor will begin shooting for My Liberation Diary soon. Lee will appear as the single father Jo Tae-hoon, who believes that marriage is the best thing in life despite being divorced himself. 

Lee Ki-woo made his debut in the romance film Classic (2003), going on to act in seminal films like Tale of Cinema (2005), Someone Behind You (2007), Wedding Dress (2010), and Misbehavior (2016). As far as his work in dramas goes, he is best known for appearing in Flower Boy Ramen Shop (2011), Rain or Shine (2017–2018), and 18 Again (2020). 

My Liberation Diary is scheduled to air in 2022. It is the brainchild of screenwriter Park Hae-young, creator of the hit My Mister (2018). Kim Seok-yoon of Law School (2021) and The Light in Your Eyes (2019) fame will serve as the show’s director.
