Lee Jung-ha makes TV acting debut in ‘Rookie Historian Goo Hae-ryung’

Lee Jung-ha, a former contestant of the Korean survival reality show The Unit, has landed a role in Rookie Historian Goo Hae-ryung, making his official TV acting debut in a major TV series.

Currently working with Namoo Actors, Lee is known for his starring role in the web drama 19 and Rebellious. His fans admire his talent and youthful looks, which will be a great addition to the upcoming MBC historical drama, and are looking forward to his upcoming performance.

Rookie Historian Goo Hae-ryung is set in the 19th-century Joseon where women are considered inferior to men. The drama will show how intelligent, upright, and strong women make their way up through the social hierarchy to contribute to society and challenge the norm. Shin Se-kyung (Bride of the Water God) and Cha Eun-woo (My ID is Gangnam Beauty) will play the titular character and a prince, respectively.

Lee Jung-ha will play Kim Chi-guk, a bright young man who becomes an “officer” at an early age. He learns about the complexities of life when he meets Goo Hae-ryung. Lee will show his childlike and innocent image to portray this character.

Rookie Historian Goo Hae-ryung will premiere in July, following the conclusion of Spring Night.
