Lee Je-hoon, Esom, Kim Eui-sung, Naeun confirmed for ‘Deluxe Taxi’

SBS’s upcoming webtoon-based drama Deluxe Taxi officially announced that the production has found its main cast in actors Lee Je-hoon, Esom, Kim Eui-sung, and April’s Lee Na-eun (Naeun).

Deluxe Taxi centers on the special service of a cab company called Rainbow Fortune. Instead of catering to the transportation needs of regular customers, Rainbow Fortune acts as an agent for clients who have suffered from injustice yet remain unprotected by the law. Acting on public power, the drivers of the unusual group carry out revenge call orders on behalf of their guests.

Where the Stars Land actor Lee Je-hoon will suit up as Kim Do-gi, an intuitive and bold Naval Academy graduate and former special forces officer who works as a taxi driver at Rainbow Fortune. All thanks to his training and unmatched skills, he is not one to fall behind or easily get defeated.

Crossing paths with Do-gi is the unstoppable justice-seeker Kang Ha-na (Esom, Save Me 2). With a mindset that violence against criminals only becomes acceptable to others when you are a prosecutor, she pursues the career and ends up meeting Do-gi during her investigation of an ex-convict who disappeared without a trace.

Rounding out the cast of characters are Rainbow Fortune employees Jang Sung-cheol and Go-eun, played by Arthdal Chronicles’ Kim Eui-sung and Extraordinary You’s Naeun, respectively. Sung-cheol is the cab company president who takes the lead in punishing the people who take advantage of the law’s blind spots. While he is warm and affectionate to the victims, he turns into an unforgiving crime fighter in front of wrongdoers. Meanwhile, Go-eun serves as Rainbow Fortune’s hacker and self-declared tech expert. She has the talent of making use and getting information out of anything digital, such as CCTVs, phones, and computers. She will work closely with Do-gi, whom she considers as family, and act as his guide during missions.

The production team shared, “It’s a drama designed to give viewers a [great and fun] experience. Lee Je-hoon, Esom, Kim Eui-sung, and Lee Na-eun confirming their appearance is a good start [of the production]. Please look forward to Deluxe Taxi, which will serve as a stress reliever for viewers.”

Deluxe Taxi, spearheaded by director Park Joon-woo and writer Oh Sang-ho, is slated to premiere in 2021.
