KBS2’s upcoming Wednesday-Thursday drama Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol held its first script reading and recently released candid stills from the event. It was attended by its main cast comprising of Lee Jae-wook, Go Ara, and Kim Joo-hun.
Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol is a romantic-comedy drama set in a private piano academy called La La Land, in a small village. Goo Ra-ra is a bright and funny pianist who moves to the village after her family becomes bankrupt. She has lived a carefree life with no care for money but finds herself suddenly struggling. At the academy, her paths cross with Sun Woo-joon, a mysterious part-time worker who doesn’t believe in having goals and lives a carefree life. The piano academy will become a place where those with scars and wounds come to gain healing and energy.
Go Ara (Haechi) and Lee Jae-wook (When the Weather Is Fine) will be essaying the roles of Goo Ra-ra and Sun Woo-joon, respectively. Kim Joo-hun (It’s Okay to Not Be Okay) and Ye Ji-won (Dinner Mate) will also appear in the drama as an orthopedist suffering from burnout syndrome and a charming restaurant-owner, respectively. The four actors, along with the writer, director, and other supporting cast, struck a happy pose at the script-reading event.
Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol has been penned by Oh Ji-young, who wrote My Secret, Terrius (2018) and Shopaholic Louie (2016). Kim Min-kyung, who directed the drama specials Noodle Shop Woman (2016) and Bad Families (2017), will be helming the show. It will premiere sometime in August this year.
