Lee Do-hyun, Go Min-si’s love story unveiled in new teaser for ‘Youth of May’

Sweet Home (2020) co-stars Lee Do-hyun and Go Min-si are reuniting in the new drama Youth of May, and the recently dropped video teaser from KBS2 is already giving the viewers a sneak peek of the inevitable heartbreak between the onscreen lovers.

Youth of May is KBS2’s upcoming romance drama that tells the love story of a medical student and a nurse in the midst of a chaotic time: during the Gwangju Uprising in May of 1980.

The teaser opens to Hwang Hee-tae (Lee) preparing for his confession to Kim Myung-hee (Go). He prepares a bouquet of flowers, puts on some music with a vinyl record, and sits down to write a letter on the back of a photo. “When I think of you, it becomes music. There is a song I want to play for you with anticipation. On the night of May 3, I will wait there,” the letter says. A little later, Myung-hee picks up the letter and reads it, and, with a smile on her face, she looks up with hopeful eyes. The camera then becomes blurry, and a loud gunshot rings throughout the room. Myung-hee drops the letter to the floor, and the photo with the letter is revealed to be of Hee-tae and Myung-hee.

Youth of May is scheduled to premiere this coming May 3.

It was Princess Lulu who first introduced her to Korean dramas but it was Yoon Ji-hoo from Boys Over Flowers who enticed her to stay in K-dramaland. She writes news and features for Kdramapal, which combines two of her most favorite things in the world—writing and K-dramas (look who's living the dream). The name Luna literally translates to "moon" and nothing special; she just likes writing at night.
