Lee Do-hyun, Go Min-si, Lee Sang-yi, Keum Sae-rok are different faces of youth in new ‘Youth of May’ posters

The premiere of romance drama Youth of May is fast approaching, and KBS2 has dropped new posters before the big day.

Starring Sweet Home (2020) co-stars Lee Do-hyun and Go Min-si, Youth of May follows the romance of two people in the background of the Gwangju Uprising that took place in May of 1980. Lee plays Hwang Hee-tae, a medical student who falls for a nurse named Kim Myung-hee, played by Go. They are joined by Lee Sang-yi (Once Again) and Keum Sae-rok (Joseon Exorcist), who play the siblings Lee Soo-chan and Lee Soo-ryeon.

One of the released posters show the four characters, whose fates get entangled with one another as they each try to forge their own path in life. Although they all stand in the same frame, they are staring at different directions while lost in deep thought, indicating the struggles that all of them are trying to overcome individually.

Even though he was at the top of his class at Seoul National University’s medical school, a tragic incident changes his life forever, and he ends up going back to his hometown. The text on his poster reads, “War with prejudice.”

Luna

It was Princess Lulu who first introduced her to Korean dramas but it was Yoon Ji-hoo from Boys Over Flowers who enticed her to stay in K-dramaland. She writes news and features for Kdramapal, which combines two of her most favorite things in the world—writing and K-dramas (look who's living the dream). The name Luna literally translates to "moon" and nothing special; she just likes writing at night.
