Lee Bo-young dazzles in first stills from new tvN drama ‘Mine’

tvN has unveiled the first character stills of Lee Bo-young as she transforms into a former top actress in the upcoming series Mine.

Mine will follow the lives of strong, ambitious women who belong to the high society as they attempt to seek their true selves amid the world’s prejudice. The series stars Lee Bo-young (When My Love Blooms) and Kim Seo-hyung (Nobody Knows) in the lead roles.

On March 30, the production dropped the first images of Lee Bo-young suited up as Seo Hee-soo. During a trip, Hee-soo meets Han Ji-yong (Lee Hyun-wook, She Would Never Know), the second son of Hyowon Group, and falls in love with him. Despite her stellar career as an actress, Hee-soo gives up the entertainment spotlight to marry him and sets foot into a new life as the second daughter-in-law of a chaebol family and the mother of Ji-yong’s son, Han Ha-joon (Jung Hyeon-jun, Sisyphus: The Myth).

However, behind the poised and graceful Hee-soo is a woman likened to Cinderella. She is treated like an outsider in elite social circles and is often the subject of envy and judgment of other people. Despite the prying and condemning eyes around her, Hee-soo does her best to remain confident and protect her true self.

The production crew shared, “[Lee Bo-young] is an actress who has a special power, as viewers say that [they] trust [a production even just by] seeing the name ‘Lee Bo-young.’ Please look forward to her transformation into Seo Hee-soo and her synergy with her new character.”

Mine is scheduled to air during the first half of the year as a Saturday-Sunday drama.
