 Ratings: Highlights

1. 100 Days My Prince surpasses 10 percent. Wow, this historical romantic comedy has continued to show a remarkable performance rating-wise. The 10th episode of the series achieved a whopping 10.3 percent in nationwide audience share, making itself one of the top-rated cable dramas of all time and the second cable drama (following Mr. Sunshine) this year that has achieved a double-digit viewership.

2. Where Stars Lands renews highest rating, nears double-digit viewership. Despite the premiere of a new rival series on KBS2, Where Stars Land managed to renew its highest rating to 9.1 percent, breaking its own peak record of 8.6 percent. Still no. 1 on the Monday-Tuesday time slot, the drama is on its way to achieving a double-digit viewership.

3. The Beauty Inside improves records to 4 %. This drama adaptation of 2015’s The Beauty Inside film has seen an improvement in its viewership from 2.9 percent during the premiere to 4.3 percent on its fourth episode, an increase of 1.4 percentage points. The drama is still in its early stage of broadcast, so it’s not impossible for the series to break through the 5 percent mark as long as it sustains its gradual increase in ratings.

4. Bad Papa records lowest rating. MBC’s family action drama recorded its personal lowest rating last week, at 2.4 percent, amid the premiere of a new rival (Matrimonial Chaos) over at broadcaster KBS2. The series, however, improved this record the following episodes to end the week with an average rating of 3.0 percent.

5. The Smile Has Left Your Eyes‘ rating drops by 1.0 percentage point. This drama premiered with a relatively strong rating of 4.0 percent two weeks ago but the number dropped to 3.0 percent the following week. 3 percent is still a good number for viewership but if the series continues to lose more viewers each week, the drama might end up getting a rating of 2 percent or lower.

Me? Just an ordinary lad with an extraordinary (says this something called 'stereotype') habit of watching Korean dramas. It started with action-filled City Hunter and the rest, as they say, is history.
