Kim Tae-hee is a ghost mom in first teaser for comeback series ‘Hi, Bye Mama!’

tvN has been amping up promotions for Kim Tae-hee‘s comeback drama Hi Bye, Mama! with the release of its first teaser featuring Kim, Lee Kyu-hyung, Go Bo-gyeol, and child actress Seo Woo-jin.

In the series, Kim Tae-hee (Yong-pal) portrays a ghost who takes on a 49-day mission to win back her human life and be with her husband and daughter again. Lee Kyu-hyung (Doctor John) will be seen as her husband whose life is thrown for a toss when his dead wife suddenly reappears before him after five years.

In the teaser, Kim Tae-hee is shown inserting herself into a photo session of Lee Kyu-hyung, Seo Woo-jin, and Go Bo-gyeol (Arthdal Chronicles). Lee and Go seem unaware of her presence as she poses with them, at one point even sitting on Lee’s lap for a pose. Towards the end of the teaser, she lounges on the couch staring at the family photo, in which she is missing.

The tone of the teaser is both bright and fun but the sad secret behind the photo is that Kim Tae-hee’s character is actually the first wife of Lee Kyu-hyung’s as well as the mother of the child.

Meanwhile, the series released another poster depicting a similar scene where Kim Tae-hee’s ghost is hanging around with her family. Kim has the wings and halo of angels drawn on her figure, and it seems that only her daughter can sense her presence.

Hi Bye, Mama! will replace Son Ye-jin and Hyun-bin’s Crash Landing On You in February. It is directed by Yoo Je-won (Abyss) and penned by Kwon Hye-joo (Go Back Couple).
