Kim Soo-hyun, Seo Ye-ji share entrancing butterfly hug in new stills for ‘It’s Okay to Not Be Okay’

With It’s Okay to Not Be Okay already premiering in three days, the new tvN fantasy drama has decided to mesmerize fans once again by dropping last-minute stills of its lead stars Kim Soo-hyun and Seo Ye-ji.

It’s Okay to Not Be Okay tells the story of psychiatric ward health worker Moon Kang-tae (Kim Soo-hyun, The Producers) and famous children’s book author Go Moon-young (Seo Ye-ji, Lawless Lawyer). Destiny deems for the love cynic Kang-tae to cross paths with the anti-social and inexperienced Moon-young in hopes that they could help heal each other’s emotional wounds. In the process, however, they find themselves sparking a peculiar romance between them.

In the freshly released still cuts, Moon Kang-tae is initially shown to be contemplating alone, but interesting scenes start to unfold when the alluring Go Moon-young joins him in the frame. Moon-young grabs Kang-tae by the nape and pulls him close to her. He gives her an intense stare but Moon-young does not back down and looks back at him with equal fervor.

The last snaps unveil an intriguing sight as Moon-young now has her back turned on Kang-tae, with her arms crossed over her chest and her hands placed on her shoulders. She emotively closes her eyes as Kang-tae’s hands rest upon her own. Is he punishing her for her daring move, or is he reacting to it with an affectionate embrace? The intimate gesture takes the form of a butterfly, a mystically recurring symbol in the past teasers for the drama.

Directed by Park Shin-woo of Encounter (2018–2019), It’s Okay to Not Be Okay’s odd tale will air on tvN every Saturday and Sunday at 9 p.m. KST beginning June 20 while viewers from around the globe may catch it via Netflix.
