Kim So-eun, Ji Hyun-woo are awkward but sweet in new stills from ‘Love Is Annoying, but I Hate Being Lonely’

As it gets closer to its premiere, MBC every1’s Love Is Annoying, but I Hate Being Lonely is successfully keeping the viewers’ anticipation for the drama with its newly dropped still cuts of lead stars Kim So-eun (That Man Oh Soo) and Ji Hyun-woo (Love in Sadness).

Love Is Annoying, but I Hate Being Lonely tells the modern love story of freelance copy editor Lee Na-eun (Kim So-eun) and psychiatrist Cha Kang-woo (Ji Hyun-woo). Na-eun and Kang-woo want to enjoy their freedom as they both do not like being burdened by all the commitments that come with dating, but deep inside, they are also afraid of getting lonely. Their common perspective on romantic relationships is bound to change, however, when they become housemates in a co-living house and begin to grow feelings for each other.

In the promotional stills, Na-eun seems to be expressing mixed feelings of shock and embarrassment as Kang-woo carries her in his arms. Possible scenarios could be that she fell from the stairs on her way down or that a minor accident rendered her unable to go up by herself. Meanwhile, Kang-woo appears to be enjoying the situation as shown by the way he playfully glances at Na-eun but instead of getting smitten, the latter is only giving him a sharp glare and an irked face, probably to conceal the fact that she is actually mortified.

Regardless of what really happened between the two lead characters in this scene, the photos present more than enough reason for the viewers to watch out for more of their cute and funny moments in the drama.

Love Is Annoying, but I Hate Being Lonely is helmed by PD Lee Hyun-joo (Imaginary Cat, 2015–2016) and penned by screenwriter Jo Jin-kuk (Fated to Love You, 2014). It is slated to air every Tuesday at 10:50 p.m. KST starting August 11.
