Kim Rae-won considers TV comeback with ‘Black Knight’

Kim Rae-won is considering an offer to play the leading role in a KBS2 drama titled Black Knight. His agency, HB Entertainment, confirmed this on September 30 and said that the proposal is still under review.

Black Knight is a fantasy romance drama about a man who accepts a dangerous fate for the woman he loves. It will be written by Kim In-young of Unkind Ladies and Man From The Equator and directed by PD Han Sang-woo who previously worked with writer Kim as a co-director of Man From The Equator. The series is slated to air in December.

The actor’s last TV project was SBS’s Doctors, a medical series starring him and Park Shin-hye as neurosurgeons. The series was a huge success, reaching over 20 % in nationwide rating and obtaining an average audience share of 18.4 %. Other notable dramas he starred in include Punch (2014), A Thousand Day’s Promise (2011), Gourmet (2008), and Love Story in Harvad (2004). He is currently busy promoting his upcoming mystery thriller film, RV: Resurrected Victims, which will be released on October 12, 2017.
