Kim Min-jae, Seo Ji-hoon confirmed for ‘Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency’

Young actor Kim Min-jae will headline a new romantic historical drama titled Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency, according to an announcement made on March 18 by his agency, Stone Music Entertainment.

“It is true that Kim Min-jae will be performing the lead role in JTBC’s new Monday-Tuesday drama,” a representative from the agency confirmed.

Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency is about a Joseon King who tasks a dating agency called Flower Crew with taking care of his first love and making her appear like a noblewoman. It seems that the young King falls in love with a woman coming from a lowly background, and he goes to any length to ensure that even their differing social status cannot stop their romance.

Kim Min-jae was last seen making a cameo appearance in Mr. Sunshine. The rapper and rookie actor made his acting debut in 2012 but his popularity did not rise substantially until 2016 when he played supporting roles in well-received dramas Romantic Doctor Teacher Kim and Goblin. He starred in the fantasy series The Best Hit in 2017 before landing another major role in Great Seducer, where he starred opposite Moon Ga-young, Red Velvet’s Joy, and Woo Do-hwan.

Meanwhile, today, confirmations are in for Seo Ji-hoon (Mama Fairy and the Woodcutter) to star in the series alongside Kim. He will take on the role of the King, while Kim will portray one of the handsome men working for the Flower Crew.

Based on a book of the same title, Flower Crew: Joseon Marriage Agency is expected to premiere in the second half of the year.
