Kim Jin-young joins cast of Netflix’s ‘All of Us Are Dead’

Rookie actress Kim Jin-young is set to join the cast of the upcoming zombie thriller All of Us Are Dead, which is slated to air in the first half of 2021.

The upcoming Netflix original series is based on the 2009 webtoon written by Joo Dong-geun titled “Now at Our School” and follows a group of students as they try to survive and get out of their zombie-infested school.

All of Us Are Dead stars rookie actors Yoon Chan-young (Nobody Knows), Park Ji-hoo (Beautiful World), Jo Yi-hyun (How to Buy a Friend), Park Solomon (Sweet Revenge), and Yoo In-soo (Chocolate). Just recently, actors Oh Hee-joon (Was it Love?), Woo Ji-hyun (A Piece of Your Mind), Lee Chae-eun (Soon-yi, film), and Kim Bo-yoon (Good Casting) were also announced as part of the lineup.

On July 28, Kim Jin-young’s agency Snowball Entertainment announced, “Kim Jin-young will appear as Ji Min, a 5th year student who is at the center of the story.” Ji Min is a character who keeps her composure in the middle of despair.

This will be the actress’ debut in a TV series, as her recent projects are both films, namely Family Affair and The Fault Is Not Yours (which also starred the series’ lead actor Yoon Chan-young), both released in 2019. With a stable acting ability and great potential as a rookie actress, Kim is looking forward to seeing what she will do in All of Us Are Dead.

All of Us Are Dead will be led by directors Lee Jae-kyu (The King 2hearts) and Kim Nam-soo, along with writer Chun Sung-il (Your Honor) who will also be penning the upcoming drama LUCA this year. It will air exclusively on Netflix and will be released in more than 190 countries around the world.

It was Princess Lulu who first introduced her to Korean dramas but it was Yoon Ji-hoo from Boys Over Flowers who enticed her to stay in K-dramaland. She writes news and features for Kdramapal, which combines two of her most favorite things in the world—writing and K-dramas (look who's living the dream). The name Luna literally translates to "moon" and nothing special; she just likes writing at night.
