Kim Ji-soo, Lee Kyu-hyung, Kim Byung-chul in talks to cast in new Netflix original series ‘All of Us Are Dead’

The respective agencies of Kim Ji-soo, Lee Kyu-hyung, and Kim Byung-chul have announced that their actors are positively reviewing offers to cast in Netflix’s upcoming Korean original series All of Us Are Dead.

Based on the well-received 2009 webtoon “Now at Our School” by Joo Dong-geun, All of Us Are Dead follows a group of high school students who are trapped inside their school during a zombie outbreak. It revolves around how they execute plans of escape while trying to stay unbitten by the zombified humans. Little did they know, other people are concurrently going through extreme lengths to save them.

Details are yet to be shared regarding the actors’ roles in the drama, but their outstanding catalog of television projects and past experiences in the entertainment field are stirring up the excitement of viewers.

Kim Ji-soo, who made her acting debut in the series Female Detective 8080, has been in the industry since 1992. She recently appeared in the fantasy series 365: Repeat the Year (2020) where she performed alongside actors Lee Joon-hyuk and Nam Ji-hyun.

Likewise, Kim Byung-chul has earned praise from the international audience for his notable roles in award-winning dramas such as Descendants of the Sun (2016), Guardian: The Lonely and Great God (2016), Mr. Sunshine (2018), and SKY Castle (2018). He last starred in the 2019 series Pegasus Market.

While relatively a newcomer to the small screen, Lee Kyu-hyung is no amateur when it comes to acting as he has been honing an impressive track in the theater arts since 2007. He started his career in television dramas with Unkind Ladies (2015). He has now come to portray lead roles such as the one he had opposite Kim Tae-hee in the newly wrapped-up series Hi Bye, Mama! (2020).

All of Us Are Dead is written by screenwriter Chun Sung-il of LUCA (2020) and will be helmed by director Lee Jae-kyu of The King 2hearts (2012). The drama is produced by JTBC Studios in association with Film Monster and is scheduled to premiere in the first half of 2021.
