Kim Hye-yoon to make cameo appearance in ‘Live On’ premiere

JTBC’s newest series Live On plans to leave a lasting impression on the viewers right off its first episode by casting actress Kim Hye-yoon (Extraordinary You) for a cameo role.

Live On is a teen romance story set in Seo Yeon High School, an institution where financial status, popularity, and fashion style determine students’ social rank. It centers on Baek Ho-rang (Jung Da-binExtracurricular), one of the most popular girls on the campus, and Go Eun-tak (NU’EST’s Minhyun), the handsome yet bad-tempered head of the school’s broadcasting club. An identity emergency pushes Ho-rang to make the unlikely decision of joining Eun-tak’s team, getting the latter suspicious and particularly mindful of her presence.

The drama’s freshly released stills reveal Kim Hye-yoon as she transforms into the high school student Seo Hyun-ah, an announcer and member of Go Eun-tak’s broadcasting team. Hyun-ah looks youthful and smart in her uniform while confidently running lunchtime’s live broadcast. However, she later makes a big mistake on-air, which generates a commotion among the students and enrages Eun-tak.

Kim Hye-yoon’s most recent dramas include SKY Castle and Extraordinary You, whose director (Kim Sang-woo) is the man behind Live On and the award-winning 2018 series My Mister. The actress had been confirmed to play a leading role in another JTBC drama Snowdrop, along with Jung Hae-in and BLACKPINK’s Jisoo.

Live On is penned by screenwriter Bang Yoo-jung of the web series 4 Reasons Why I Hate Christmas (2019). It premieres tonight at 9:30 p.m. KST.
