Actor Kim Byung-chul is set to make a surprise appearance on the small screen!
It was reported that the actor will appear in JTBC’s ongoing Wednesday-Thursday drama Sisyphus: The Myth. Kim will appear midway through the drama and is expected to heighten the tension through his acting.
Kim Byung-chul is best known for his supporting roles in dramas like Descendants of the Sun (2016), Guardian: The Lonely and Great God (2016–2017), Mr. Sunshine (2018), and SKY Castle (2018–2019), among others.
Known as JTBC’s 10th Anniversary Special Drama, Sisyphus: The Myth is a sci-fi story involving time travel and a mysterious death. It stars Cho Seung-woo (Stranger 2) as a genius engineer who is looking for his brother, while Park Shin-hye (Memories of the Alhambra) is a fighter from the future, who becomes his protector. Together, they fight against mysterious beings that live among humans on Earth and try to save the world.
Sisyphus premiered on February 17 with a solid rating of 5.6 percent, ranking first among dramas in this time slot. The second episode saw a jump in the ratings, bringing it to 6.7 percent. With Kim’s special appearance, the drama is only expected to get more exciting.
