Kang Han-na courted for new historical drama ‘Red Heart’

Kang Han-na (My Roommate Is a Gumiho) might be returning to the small screen soon!

Earlier today, Kang’s agency KeyEast Entertainment confirmed that the actress has received an offer to join the KBS2 drama Red Heart and that they are positively reviewing the offer.

Red Heart will be a fictional narrative of the life of Lee Tae, the oldest son of Seonjong. Lee Tae ascends the throne and dreams of becoming an absolute monarch, unlike his father. Lee Joon (My Father Is Strange) has reportedly been cast as the tyrant Lee Tae, while Jang Hyuk (Tell Me What You Saw) is also in talks to play Park Gye-won, a man who will lead a rebellion against Lee Tae.

Kang has been offered the role of Yoo Jung, a carefree woman who has stolen Lee Tae’s heart and becomes his crown princess. This causes conflict among his family members who are embroiled in a power struggle in the royal court.

Red Heart is scheduled to air next year.

It was Princess Lulu who first introduced her to Korean dramas but it was Yoon Ji-hoo from Boys Over Flowers who enticed her to stay in K-dramaland. She writes news and features for Kdramapal, which combines two of her most favorite things in the world—writing and K-dramas (look who's living the dream). The name Luna literally translates to "moon" and nothing special; she just likes writing at night.
