JTBC’s ongoing Friday-Saturday drama Beyond Evil is slated to stream on Netflix soon!
Beyond Evil follows two fearless police officers as they chase after a serial killer who has returned to their small town after 20 years. In the course of uncovering the criminal’s identity, they are forced to look beyond plain evidence and avoid trusting everyone who is involved in the case, including each other.
It stars Shin Ha-kyun (Soul Mechanic) as Dong-sik, a detective-turned-sergeant at the Manyang Police Substation, and Yeo Jin-goo (Hotel del Luna) as Joo-won, the station’s newly transferred elite detective who is hiding a secret. When Dong-sik stumbles upon the same murder case that changed his life, Joo-won gets involved in his dangerous hunt for a serial killer.
Beyond Evil is spearheaded by director Shim Na-yeon of At Eighteen (2019) and screenwriter Kim Su-jin of The Light in Your Eyes (2019). The 16-episode drama premiered locally on February 19, 2021 and recorded a peak rating of 5.502 percent on its tenth and latest episode. It is set to drop on Netflix this April 11.
