Upcoming movie Josee has unveiled a new poster and trailer featuring lead actors and The Light in Your Eyes co-stars Han Ji-min and Nam Joo-hyuk.
Josee will center on the titular character Josee (Han Ji-min, Miss Baek), who, as special as her name, has been living her days differently from others. Her life changes, however, when a bittersweet love sparks between her and Young-seok, a university student (Nam Joo-hyuk, The Great Battle) who approaches her with a sincere heart.
The freshly dropped poster carries the caption “The time we were most beautiful” and shows the two protagonists staring at a distance during a gloomy, winter day. While Josee looks pensive, Young-seok has a determined expression on his face, teasing the two characters’ deep yet contrasting emotions toward life and love.
The production also released a new trailer that delves deeper into Josee and Young-seok’s connection and aims to tug at heartstrings as it introduces how they first met. The scene opens to a massive field and shows Josee’s empty wheelchair as she narrates, “Sometimes, I want to run away to the farthest place with you. But at the same time, I want to remain trapped,” echoing her conflicting feelings of being with Young-seok or staying at her safe place. As the next scenes play, the viewers see how meeting each other began to change Josee’s and Young-seok’s lives. At one point, she asks him, “Am I weird?” and he responds, “No, you’re just pretty,” showing that the two characters might have found a bit of comfort and solace in each other. Josee, who feels anxious over anything unfamiliar, slowly opens up to Young-seok and begins enjoying the time they spend together. Toward the end of the video, however, Young-seok comes face to face with a closed door and says, “I’ll come back,” hinting at a possibly tragic moment between him and Josee. The clip then closes with Young-seok carrying Josee on his back, walking on a vast field.
