Jo Bo-ah confirms casting in rom-com Bok-soo’s Back opposite Yoo Seung-ho

Upcoming romantic comedy drama Bok-soo’s Back (also known as Revenge is Back) has secured its lead female actress in Jo Bo-ah, who has been confirmed today to headline the series opposite actor Yoo Seung-ho (I Am Not A Robot).

Yoo Seung-ho centers on the titular character named Kang Bok-soo who is expelled from school after being falsely accused of being a bully, with her first love—the smart and lovely class president Son Soo-jung, played by Jo Bo-ah—betraying him and instrumental in his expulsion. Several years later, he returns to the school to seek revenge against those who wronged him and meets again Son Soo-jung who is now working as a teacher.

Jo Bo-ah most recently appeared in the weekend series Goodbye to Goodbye. Her previous projects include Temperature of Love, Sweet Stranger and Me, and Monster. In a comment she gave, the actress expressed her excitement over starring in a romantic comedy as the heroine, saying that she felt so excited when she started to read the script of the drama. She added that she will study and act hard to portray perfectly the lovely and confident character of Son Soo-jung and encouraged the viewers to look forward to the series.

Bok-soo’s Back will be directed by PD Ham Joon-ho of Wok of Love. It will air on SBS in December, replacing Where Stars Land on the Monday-Tuesday slot.
