Ji Chang-wook confirms lead role in “Beware this Woman,” Lee Sung-kyung officially out

Ji Chang-wook (The K2) has confirmed that he will be taking the leading man role in SBS’s new drama Beware This Woman. Lee Sung-kyung (Weightlifting Fairy Kin Bok-joo), meanwhile, confirmed that she will not be taking the female lead role, so it is now being offered to Han Ji-min (Hyde, Jekyll, Me) . Representatives of the actress have stated that she is currently filming the movie Miss Baek and has not made any decision yet given that she is also reviewing other projects offered to her.

If Han Ji-min accepts the offer, she will be playing the role of Eun Bong-hee, a woman who finds herself the suspect in a murder case. She is a judicial trainee and a former Taekwondo athlete. She meets the character of Ji Chang-wook, named Noh Ji-wook, who becomes an attorney after his job as a public prosecutor.

Beware This Woman combines romantic comedy with thriller element. It comes from writer Kwon Ki-young who had written I Remember You, a drama that also has a mix of rom-com and crime setting. The thriller component of the drama involves an amnesiac killer who wants to kill the two main characters.

The drama is scheduled to follow Saimdang, Light’s Diary on May 2017.

Me? Just an ordinary lad with an extraordinary (says this something called 'stereotype') habit of watching Korean dramas. It started with action-filled City Hunter and the rest, as they say, is history.
