Jang Ki-yong to enlist in military

My Roommate Is a Gumiho (2021) star Jang Ki-yong will be temporarily leaving the limelight for his mandatory military enlistment.

Earlier today, July 26, Jang’s agency YG Entertainment announced that the actor will be enlisting in the military on August 23, right after wrapping up his filming for the drama Now, We Are Breaking Up with Song Hye-kyo (Encounter).

Below is the full statement from Jang Ki-yong’s agency.

“Hello. This is YG Entertainment.

Actor Jang Ki-yong will enlist in the military on August 23 after finishing filming for the drama Now, We Are Breaking Up. To prevent the spread of COVID-19, the location and time of enlistment will be kept private. We ask for your understanding as this decision was made inevitably for the safety of fans and reporters.

Please support Jang Ki-yong so he may return in good health after completing his military service diligently.”

Now, We’re Breaking Up, Jang’s last drama before enlistment, will air on SBS in the second half of the year.

Luna

It was Princess Lulu who first introduced her to Korean dramas but it was Yoon Ji-hoo from Boys Over Flowers who enticed her to stay in K-dramaland. She writes news and features for Kdramapal, which combines two of her most favorite things in the world—writing and K-dramas (look who's living the dream). The name Luna literally translates to "moon" and nothing special; she just likes writing at night.
