‘It’s Okay to Not Be Okay’s’ main lady Seo Ye-ji captures hearts in first solo stills

Upcoming tvN romance drama It’s Okay to Not Be Okay has released the captivating solo shots of its leading lady Seo Ye-ji.

It’s Okay to Not Be Okay (also credited as Psycho but It’s Okay) tells the story of psychiatric ward worker Moon Kang-tae (Kim Soo-hyun) and famous children’s book writer Go Moon-young (Seo Ye-ji). Kang-tae’s childhood trauma made him uninterested and burdened by the idea of love, while Moon-young lives with an antisocial personality disorder and doesn’t quite know love. When the two meet by fate, they begin to find solace in each other, healing each other’s emotional wounds and kindling an odd kind of fairy-tale romance.

Seo’s strong visuals are magnified in the released photos. She dons elegant outfits, complete with puffed sleeves and intricate trimmings and details, that made her look like she popped out of a fairy-tale book. However, her character’s enviable charm is also matched with her cold demeanor, evident as she calculatedly stares at a distance. The viewers can look forward to her transformation into an intelligent and beautiful literary writer whose heart lacks warmth.

Meanwhile, you can also check out the transformation of the show’s leading man Kim Soo-hyun in his recently released solo stills here.

Seo made her small-screen debut in 2013 in the tvN family sitcom Potato Star 2013QR3. To date, she has over 10 dramas under her belt, including Diary of a Night Watchman (2014) and Save Me (2017). She last appeared in the legal thriller Lawless Lawyer (2018), where she starred opposite Lee Joon-gi.

It’s Okay to Not Be Okay is spearheaded by director Park Shin-woo of Encounter (2018–2019) and writer Jo Yong of Jugglers (2017–2018). It is set to air as a Saturday-Sunday drama beginning June 20 at 9:00 p.m. KST. Get a sneak peek of the drama with its first teaser here.
