‘It’s Okay to Not Be Okay’ drops new visuals of Kim Soo-hyun, Seo Ye-ji’s undeniable attraction to each other

Even with D-Day already here, new romantic fantasy drama It’s Okay to Not Be Okay is not yet through with fueling everyone’s enthusiasm for the series as it just released fresh stills of lead stars Kim Soo-hyun and Seo Ye-ji.

It’s Okay to Not Be Okay tells the story of health worker Moon Kang-tae (Kim Soo-hyun, The Producers) and famous children’s book writer Go Moon-young (Seo Ye-ji, Lawless Lawyer). Destiny deems for the love cynic Kang-tae to cross paths with the socially-inept and relationship amateur Moon-young in hopes that they could help heal each other’s emotional wounds. In the process, however, they find themselves writing their very own strange, romantic fairy tale.

In the still cuts, the pair is a manifestation of “opposites attract.” Kang-tae is wearing a simple pullover shirt matched with a ball cap while Moon-young radiates elegance in her dress suit accentuated with gold, dangling earrings that also highlight her regal face and long, wavy locks. She appears to have said something that made Kang-tae slightly taken aback. In the next shot, she seems ready to take her leave after getting some animosity or rejection from him, but to her amusement, Kang-tae stops her by the wrist. The previous teasers reveal that Kang-tae tells her “Don’t go.” during this part.

In the last photo, she appears to be smiling teasingly as a reaction to his surprising gesture. Does it mean a deal has just been sealed? Thankfully, the long wait is over, and viewers are only a few hours away from finding out!

It’s Okay to Not Be Okay is directed by Park Shin-woo of Encounter (2018–2019), and its strange tale is penned by screenwriter Jo Yong of Jugglers (2017–2018). It is slated to air on tvN every Saturday and Sunday at 9:00 p.m. KST beginning today, June 20, whereas viewers from around the globe may stream it via Netflix.
