Im Soo-hyang, Ji Soo, more to star in healing romance drama ‘When I Was the Prettiest’

MBC’s upcoming romance drama featuring a love triangle dilemma has confirmed a star-studded cast including Im Soo-hyang, Ji Soo, Ha Seok-jin, and Hwang Seung-eun.

When I Was the Prettiest, also known as My Prettiest Moments, centers around a woman named Oh Ye-ji (Im Soo-hyang) and two brothers, Seo Hwan (Ji Soo) and Seo Jin (Ha Seok-jin), who fall in love with her. Ye-ji is a ceramic artist who dreams of finding ordinary happiness. Seo Hwan is an architectural designer who meets Ye-ji first and brings her to his father’s workshop to impress her. However, things does not go to plan as she gets close to his brother Seo Jin instead, a race car driver. Troubles start to arise when Seo Hwan confesses his long-kept feelings for Ye-ji, now his sister-in-law, following the disappearance of his older brother Seo Jin. Carry Jung (Hwang Seung-eun) adds tension to the predicament by being Seo Jin’s ex-girlfriend who can’t seem to get over him.

Im Soo-hyang previously rose to popularity for her role in the coming-of-age drama Gangnam Beauty. She most recently starred in the suspense melodrama Graceful Family in 2019. Ji Soo is an up-and-coming actor who landed his first lead role in the 2-season Netflix original Korean series My First First Love. Shortly after, Hwang Seung-eun appeared in the MBC short series XX. Meanwhile, Seok-jin played as Hyun Bin’s late older brother in the internationally-acclaimed tvN drama Crash Landing on You.

Along with confirmed castings, When I Was the Prettiest has also announced that PD Oh Kyung-hoon of Bad Thief, Good Thief (2017) will be helming the series, to be joined by screenwriter Jo Hyun-kyung who penned the script for Grand Prince (2018). The production staff guarantees remarkable performances from its lineup of great actors and invites the audience to stay tuned for the drama’s premiere in August.
