KBS2 comedy series If You Cheat, You Die has revealed that Cho Yeo-jeong and Go Joon are officially pairing up for the upcoming drama.
Their respective agencies, High Entertainment and Story J Company, confirmed the news on June 22 and shared that the first table work for the drama took place on the same day.
If You Cheat, You Die will revolve around the frightful experiences that adults are forced to face when they do bad things with a guilty conscience.
Cho Yeo-jeong will take on the role of Jang Yeo-joo, a best-selling mystery novelist who often kills off the characters in her books. She is dubbed as the literature industry’s “praying mantis”—a carnivorous species known for its females that bite the males’ heads off and devour them for survival—because she inflicts gruesome punishments on unfaithful male characters in her literary works. Unlike her novels, however, Jang Yeo-joo enjoys a peaceful married life with her lawyer husband.
Joining Cho is actor Go Joon who will suit up as Han Woo-sung, a divorce lawyer who provides emotional comfort to his clients and helps them get through the legal process of settling a divorce agreement. He is the perfect lawyer, except for a past incident where he was thrown out of the court for misbehaving and getting too close to a client.
Go Joon is currently starring in tvN’s ongoing romantic-comedy drama Oh My Baby, alongside Jang Na-ra, Park Byung-eun, and Jung Gun-joo.
If You Cheat, You Die will be spearheaded by director Kim Hyung-seok of My Golden Life (2017–2018) and screenwriter Lee Seong-min of Queen of Mystery (2017). It targets to air in the second half of this year.
