tvN’s new romantic-comedy drama Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha has decided to celebrate its broadcast announcement with an adorable teaser poster featuring lead stars Shin Min-ah and Kim Seon-ho.
Based on the 2004 film Mr. Hong, Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha centers on Yoon Hye-jin (Shin Min-ah, Chief of Staff 2), a beautiful and brilliant dentist who has just moved to the seaside village of Gongjin, and Hong Du-sik (Kim Seon-ho, Start-Up), the village’s unemployed yet famous all-around guy. Spearheading the drama adaptation are screenwriter Shin Ha-eun of The Crowned Clown (2019) and director Yoo Je-won of Hi Bye, Mama! (2020).
The newly released poster features Hye-jin and Du-sik, who appear like they are just casually strolling around the countryside to bask in the serenity and healing that only nature can provide. In addition, the blue seas, lush green grass, and quirky border art all come together with the caption, “The moment our hearts started to dance,” to give the whole scene a romantic “picnic vibe.”
The production team behind Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha shared, “We wanted to show the charm of the drama right through its first poster. The seaside village of Gongjin will become the background of Hye-jin and Du-sik’s healing romance so we tried to capture it well for the viewers.” They added, “Their distance from each other will get narrower as the drama progresses, that much you can expect. We ask for your continued interest until the first broadcast.”
Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha is slated to premiere as a Saturday and Sunday drama on August 28 at 9 p.m. KST, replacing The Devil Judge. It will also be released worldwide via Netflix.
