Han Ye-seul courted to lead new romance drama

Actress Han Ye-seul is under discussion to make her drama comeback!

On May 14, news reports claimed that the actress will be playing a lead role in an upcoming drama. This was corrected by an official from Han Ye-seul’s management company Partners Park, saying, “Han Ye-seul has been proposed to appear in Goodbye Romance, [but the] appearance has not been confirmed. It has not been decided yet, as the filming timing is also undecided.”

Goodbye Romance (tentative title) will center on the psychological warfare between a man and a woman who went from longtime friends to lovers. Han Ye-seul has been offered to play the female protagonist Joo Chan-hee, who is concerned about dating and marriage. If she accepts the offer, this will mark her return to the small screen since her last starring role in Big Issue in 2019.

The actress will also potentially reunite with director Kim Sang-ho, who will helm the production of Goodbye Romance. She worked with PD Kim in her breakout drama Couple or Trouble in 2006, which was penned by the famous writer duo, the Hong Sisters. Han also appeared in the dramas Fox With Nine Tails: Forbidden Love (2004), Will It Snow for Christmas? (2009–2010), Madame Antoine: The Love Therapist (2016), and 20th Century Boy and Girl (2017).

Han Ye-seul recently became the talk of the town after she publicly introduced her current boyfriend, who is a theater actor, on an Instagram post where the two are seen on a date. According to reports, her boyfriend is almost 10 years younger and has been on several theater plays in the past.

Luna

It was Princess Lulu who first introduced her to Korean dramas but it was Yoon Ji-hoo from Boys Over Flowers who enticed her to stay in K-dramaland. She writes news and features for Kdramapal, which combines two of her most favorite things in the world—writing and K-dramas (look who's living the dream). The name Luna literally translates to "moon" and nothing special; she just likes writing at night.
