Han Ye-ri has been confirmed to play one of the leads in the new tvN family drama called (I Don’t Know Much But) We Are Family.

The drama revolves around the notion about families turning into strangers and actual strangers becoming family with each other. Han Ye-ri will play a publishing company employee who is the second daughter in her family. Described as having a gentle and easily-trusting nature, she has a very friendly personality that got her the nickname ‘civil counseling center’ when she was in high school.

Han Ye-ri was last seen in the historical drama Nokdu Flower in which she played the female lead role opposite actors Jo Jung-suk and Yoon Shi-yoon. She is currently promoting her first Hollywood film Minari, which also stars Korean-American actor Steven Yeun and veteran Korean actress Youn Yuh-jung. Directed by Lee Isaac Chung, Minari chronicles the story of a Korean-American boy chasing the American dream. The film was invited to compete at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, one of the biggest film festivals in America, where it received a standing ovation.

(I Don’t Know Much But) We Are Family will be helmed by Kwon Young-il who co-directed Search: WWW and written by Kim Eun-jung who penned Sweet Stranger And Me. The drama is expected to premiere sometime in the first half of 2020.
