Han Sun-hwa is showing no signs of stopping, as the idol-turned-actress is already considering appearing in another drama!
Han’s agency KeyEast announced that the actress is currently reviewing an offer for the lead role in the upcoming TVING show Oh My Lord. The show will revolve around three women who believe that drinking is life and are struggling with their lives in different ways.
After making her TV debut in 2005 with a survival show, Han Sun-hwa trained under the agency TS Entertainment and debuted with the girl group Secret in 2009. Han made waves and brought popularity to her group through her humor in the variety show Invicible Youth (2009–2010). Following her appearance in Marriage, Not Dating (2014), she bagged a lead role in MBC’s weekend drama Rosy Lovers (2014–2015). She left TS Entertainment in 2016 to focus on acting, going on to appear in School 2017 (2017), Save Me 2 (2019), and My Contracted Husband, Mr. Oh (2018). If she agrees to star in Oh My Lord, it will be Han’s next television project after Backstreet Rookie (2020) and the ongoing series Undercover (2021).
Catch Han Sun-hwa play the younger version of Kim Hyun-joo’s character in JTBC’s newest thriller Undercover. The drama, which premiered on April 23, airs every Friday and Saturday at 11:00 p.m. Undercover is the Korean remake of a British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) thriller of the same name. It stars Ji Jin-hee (Designated Survivor: 60 Days) as a National Intelligence Service (NIS) agent who has been hiding his identity from his family, while Kim Hyun-joo (WATCHER) plays his wife, a prolific human rights lawyer. The show is available for streaming on TVING.
