Actor Han Min is confirmed to appear in JTBC’s upcoming series Graceful Friends!
The mystery thriller drama follows a group of middle-aged couples and their peaceful lives. But things start to change with a sudden death of a friend. It stars Yoo Jun-sang, Song Yoon-ah, Bae Soo-bin, Han Eun-jung, Kim Sung-oh, Kim Hye-eun, Jung Suk-yong, Lee In-hye, Kim Won-hae, and Kim Ji-young.
On July 1, Han Min’s agency King Kong by Starship said, “Actor Han Min [will play] the college student [version] of Jung Jae-hoon, played by actor Bae Soo-bin [as the older version], in JTBC’s new drama Graceful Friends. We ask for [the viewers’] support and love.”
Han Min will play Jung Jae-hoon in his 20s. Jae-hoon is a keen and picky-looking person, but he is also warm and charming. He is an active member of a club with Ahn Goong-chul (Yoo Jun-sang), who has the opposite personality.
Han Min previously played the passionate Park Jae-hyeok in JTBC’s Life (2018). In 2019, he appeared in tvN’s Arthdal Chronicles as the character Taemaja. He has also participated in other past series such as Secret of the Birth (2013), Naeil’s Cantabile (2014), and 12 Years Promise (2014). Now, he is piquing interest as he joins Graceful Friends‘ star-studded cast.
Fans are already anticipating the premiere of the show, pointing out the drama’s similar genre and vibe to SKY Castle, another JTBC drama that became a megahit back in 2018. This will be JTBC’s attempt to follow up two of its biggest drama series this year: Itaewon Class (January) starring Park Seo-joon and Kim Da-mi; and The World of the Married (March) starring Kim Hee-ae, Park Hae-joon, and Han So-hee.
The series was initially scheduled to premiere last June, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the filming schedule was delayed. It is now set to air on July 10.
Graceful Friends is directed by Song Hyun-wook of Another Miss Oh (2016), Meloholic (2018), and The Beauty Inside (2018) and written by Park Hyo-yeon and Kim Gyeong-seon. It is produced by Studio&NEW and JCN.
The series will air on JTBC at 10:50 p.m. KST, taking over its Friday and Saturday time slot previously occupied by The World of the Married, which ended last May 16.
