Han Da-mi turns into Park Eun-bin’s bestie in new SBS drama ‘Do You Like Brahms?’

Rookie actress Han Da-mi is set to become the best friend of leading lady Park Eun-bin in SBS’s Do You Like Brahms?, an exciting development in the upcoming musical youth series. The casting was confirmed by Han’s agency, Story J Company.

Do You Like Brahms? follows the individual journeys of brilliant students in a prestigious music school. It features how each of them goes through rigorous lessons, recitals, and competitions from a very young age and how their parents, as well as their mentors, obsess over the course of their careers. It centers on the protagonists Chae Song-ah (Park Eun-bin, Stove League), a college second-courser majoring in violin performance, and Park Joon-young (Kim Min-jae, Dr. Romantic 2), a pianist who started his career as a six-year-old musical genius. Their paths intertwine one fateful summer, and from then on, their hearts begin hearing the same melody.

Han Da-mi will take on the role of Jang Eun-ji, the closest friend of Song-ah. The two met as co-members of their school’s amateur orchestra club. Eun-ji has an energetic personality and shares unique chemistry with Song-ah. At first, she doubted Song-ah’s plans of going back to college, but she has now come to cheer her on and even gets a little bit jealous of her because she is finally reaching for her dream of being a great instrumentalist.

Han Da-mi made her small-screen debut in the 2017 drama Man Who Sets the Table. She then went on to play memorable supporting roles in series such as Selection: The War Between Women (2019) and Find Me in Your Memory (2020), where the actress displayed her versatility across different genres. In the upcoming drama, Han is expected to bring in sparks of color to the story by breathing life into the charming and carefree Jang Eun-ji.

Do You Like Brahms? is spearheaded by director Jo Young-min and screenwriter Ryu Bo-ri, who previously worked together in the short youth series Everything and Nothing (2019). It is scheduled to premiere on August 31 at 10:00 p.m. KST as a Monday-Tuesday drama, replacing Good Casting.
