Lead stars Go Ara and Lee Jae-wook are joined by the main cast members of Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol in a cheerful group poster for the newest KBS2 musical rom-com series.
Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol tells the story of Goo Ra-ra (Go Ara, Haechi), a bubbly and gleeful pianist who unexpectedly hits rock bottom following her family’s sudden bankruptcy. Forced to move into the countryside, Ra-ra finds her way to La La Land, a piano academy located in a small village. There, she crosses paths with Sun Woo-joon (Lee Jae-wook, When the Weather Is Fine), a carefree but mysterious part-timer who seems to be hiding a lot of secrets.
The freshly released promo visual for the series is set against a clear, blue sky that is lined with a white musical staff. Positioned across it are notes to the lullaby “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star” that creatively reflect the title for the drama.
Ra-ra and Woo-joon pose at the center wearing matching denim button-down shirts over plain white tees. The female protagonist radiates a colorful vibe with her bright smile and wavy mane of auburn hair, whereas the male lead character looks more reserved but is still attractive despite his neutral facial expression.
Standing alongside the two are major cast members Shin Eun-soo (Bad Papa), who plays Woo-joon’s huge admirer Jin Ha-young; Lee Soon-jae (Pegasus Market), who portrays a mysterious elderly man named Kim Man-bok; Kim Joo-hun (It’s Okay to Not Be Okay), who takes on the role of orthopedist Cha Eun-seok; and Ye Ji-won (Dinner Mate), who stars as Ha-young’s outlandish mother Jin Sook-kyung. However, the biggest attention-grabber is Ra-ra’s fluffy pet dog Mimi who has the most genuine and sparkling grin of them all.
The production team remarked on the series, “It is a romantic comedy that anyone can relate to and enjoy. Because of the collective efforts of our talented actors, the characters’ onscreen synergy is also great. Please look forward to a tale full of warm laughter and romantic feels.”
Do Do Sol Sol La La Sol is helmed by director Kim Min-kyung and penned by screenwriter Oh Ji-young of My Secret, Terrius (2018). It is set to premiere on August 26 and air every Wednesday and Thursday at 9:30 p.m. KST, replacing Memorials.
