Go Ara to cameo in new medical drama from ‘Reply’ series director

Go Ara is confirmed for a guest appearance in Wise Doctor Life, a medical drama from PD Shin Won-ho and screenwriter Lee Woo-jung of the popular Reply series.

The upcoming series is set in a university hospital and revolves around five doctors who used to be classmates when they were medical students. These characters are played by Jo Jung-suk (Nokdu Flower), Kim Dae-myung (Misaeng), Jung Kyung-ho (When The Devil Calls Your Name), Yoo Yoon-seok (Mr. Sunshine), and rookie actress Jeon Mi-do (Mother).

Director Shin Won-ho’s dramas are known for featuring guest appearances by leads from his previous shows, especially the Reply Series. It is only fitting that Wise Doctor Life would have a cameo by Go Ara (Haechi), who shot to fame after starring in Reply 1994 (2013).

On January 9, tvN dropped a teaser for the much-anticipated series. Instead of clips from the upcoming drama, the 30-second teaser featured clips of hospital scenes from Reply 1997, Reply 1994, Reply 1988, and Wise Prison Life.

Wise Doctor Life is expected to premiere in February on tvN.
