Brace yourselves, shippers! Crowd-favorites Im Yoon-ah (Yoona) and Lee Jong-suk might pair up in a new legal series soon.
An official from Yoona’s agency SM Entertainment has revealed to Korean media outlets, “Yoona received an offer to appear in the upcoming drama Big Mouth and is reviewing it positively.”
Big Mouth follows the unfolding of dangerous events after a third-rate lawyer takes charge of a complicated murder case. As he gets closer to the truth, he is forced to become more evil than the corrupt and vicious forces that are now going after him and his family.
If she accepts the offer, Yoona will portray the character Go Mi-ho, wife of the male protagonist Park Chang-ho. Earlier, Romance Is a Bonus Book (2019) actor Lee Jong-suk received a proposal to suit up as Chang-ho, an unsuccessful lawyer with only a 10-percent win rate. He talks big but achieves so little, which is why people call him a “big mouth.”
Yoona has traveled far from initially gaining attention as a member of the popular girl group SNSD or Girls’ Generation to the in-demand actress that she has become today. The 30-year-old multitalented artist has impressed television viewers with her lead performances in tvN’s The K2 (2016), MBC’s The King in Love (2017), and just recently, in JTBC’s Hush (2020–2021). Much attention is currently focused on whether Yoona will eventually decide to meet with Lee Jong-suk and form a next-level onscreen team-up.
