First production stills for upcoming drama “Fight For My Way” released by KBS
Still can’t get enough of Descendants of the Sun‘s First Lieutenant Yoon Myeong-Ju and Hwarang‘s Dog-Bird? The two are back again to the small screen as lead stars of upcoming KBS drama Fight for My Way.
Fight For My Way tells the story of ordinary people who are going through major setbacks in the harsh reality they have to go through to achieve their dream career paths. Park Seo-joon (Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth) plays the role of a former popular taekwondo player who makes a living by working as a contract worker in the corporate world. Kim Ji-won (Descendants of the Sun), meanwhile, plays the character of a news anchor wanna-be who is stuck working at the information desk of a department store. The two are longtime close friends who turn to lovers as their romantic affection for each other grows.
The drama is directed by Oh My Venus director Lee Na-jung and penned by Becky’s Back writer Im Sang-choon. The first script reading for the drama took place on March 24, 2017 at the KBS Annex Building in Yeuido, Seoul, South Korea. It was attended by the primary cast of the drama including the two main leads, Ahn Jae-hong (Reply 1988), Song Ha-yoon (My Daughter Geum Sa-wol) and Kim Sung-oh (Warm and Cozy).
“Thank you for making today so fun and energetic, ” the director reportedly said during the script reading. “The production’s theme is ‘the freedom of youth,’ so I want everyone to freely share their thoughts with each other,” he added.
One of the production staff revealed on April 4 that the casts and crew have already finished shooting two episodes for the anticipated series.
KBS World announced on April 5 via its Facebook page that the official English title of the drama is “Fight For My Way” but the literal translation of the drama’s Korean title is “Third-Rate My Way.”
Fight For My Way will follow currently airing Perfect Wife on May 8, 2017.
