tvN’s upcoming fantasy drama Hi, Bye Mama! starring Kim Tae-hee and Lee Kyu-hyung has unveiled its first posters.
Hi, Bye Mama! tells the story of a ghost who reincarnates as a human for the sake of her husband and child. Kim Tae-hee essays the role of the mother, who died five years ago and has to carry out an elaborate 49-day reincarnation project in order to win her life back. Meanwhile, Lee Kyu-hyung plays a bright cardiothoracic surgeon, who becomes a single dad after his wife passes away, which leads to his personality undergoing a drastic change. Just as he’s getting used to his new life, his wife reappears before him.
In the posters, the two actors can be seen smiling brightly while hugging a child with their eyes full of warmth and love, conveying two major themes of the drama—romance and love for one’s child. This is Kim Tae-hee’s first drama in almost five years. She was last seen in the 2015 medical action drama Yong-pal. Lee Kyu-hyung, on the other hand, is taking on his first leading role after playing several solid supporting roles in acclaimed dramas like Life (2018), Wise Prison Life (2017-2018), and Stranger (2017). He was last seen in 2019 medical drama Doctor John.
Hi, Bye Mama! will follow Son Ye-jin and Hyun-bin’s Crash Landing On You in February this year. It is directed by Yoo Je-won of the Abyss (2019) and Hundred Million Stars From The Sky (2018) fame and penned by Kwon Hye-joo, who wrote Go Back Couple (2017) and The Sound of Your Heart (2016-2017).
