EXO’s Sehun, Girl’s Day’s Yura confirmed for Song Hye-kyo’s comeback drama

Two new cast members have been confirmed for SBS’s upcoming drama Now We Are Breaking Up—EXO’s Sehun and Girl’s Day’s Yura

Now We Are Breaking Up is a romance drama that explores the stories of men and women falling in love and breaking up. It is the comeback drama of actress Song Hye-kyo, who was last seen opposite Park Bo-gum in Encounter (2018–2019). She is set to play an independent, successful woman who is too consumed by work and avoids getting entangled with men. She is the leader of the design team at a fashion company called “The One.” Starring opposite her is Jang Ki-yong (Born Again) as a freelance fashion photographer. Also starring in the drama are Choi Hee-seo (Stranger 2), Kim Joo-hun (Start-Up), and Yoon Jung-hee (The Eldest), who will be returning to dramas after seven years. 

EXO’s rapper and dancer Oh Se-hun (Sehun) has been offered the role of a young, new designer at The One’s design team. He will play a junior at work to Song Hye-kyo and Choi Hee-seo. Sehun’s acting credits include the web dramas Secret Queen Makers (2018) and Dokgo Rewind (2018). He was also a regular cast member of the Netflix original variety show Busted! (2018–2021).

Girl’s Day’s Yura, on the other hand, has been roped in to play a popular celebrity named Hye-rin. She has a tremendous number of followers and influence. Due to her exceptional beauty, she is known as an icon for women. So far, Yura has appeared in small roles in dramas such as Radio Romance (2018), Psychopath Diary (2019), and Find Me in Your Memory (2020). 

Now We Are Breaking Up has been penned by Je In, writer of Misty (2018). It will be directed by Lee Gil-bok of My Love From the Star (2013–2014) and Dr. Romantic 2 (2020) fame and is expected to air in the second half of 2021.
