Synopsis

Tunnel is about a police detective from 1986 who travels to the present, via a tunnel, to solve a homicide case involving a female university student. He was chasing the suspect in his time when he encounters the tunnel that enables him to travel to the future (2017). After finding out that the case remains unsolved even after 30 years, he works with another detective and a criminal profiler to catch the killer.

Choi Jin-hyuk as Park Kwang-ho.  Park Kwang-ho is a cop who runs into a tunnel while chasing a serial killer in 1986. He gets surprised finding out that the year changes to 2017 after passing through the tunnel . 30 years have already passed but the killer has not been caught yet, so he joins the investigation team in the present to solve the case.

Yoon Hyun-min as Kim Sun-jae. Kim Sun-jae is Park Kwang-ho’s partner detective who believes on facts and relies on advanced technology in solving the case. His attitude contradicts that of Park Kwang-ho who is used to working with his gut instincts and street smarts.

Lee Yoo-young as Shin Jae-yi. Shin Jae-yi is a criminal psychology professor who joins the investigation team to profile the serial killer.
