‘Doctor Prisoner’ releases eerie posters featuring main cast

Doctor Prisoner is gaining the attention of viewers as it released two official posters featuring its main cast.

Headlined by actor Namgoong Min, Doctor Prisoner is a medical suspense drama about a talented doctor who used to work in one of Korea’s biggest and prestigious hospitals. After being kicked out from his high-profile job, he finds himself as a doctor of a clinic in a correctional facility.

The posters released by the production team are somewhat dark and eerie, which mirrors the tone of the drama. The first one shows Namgoong Min and Kim Byung-chul looking at each other, with Hello Venus’ Kwon Na-ra and Choi Won-young behind them. The messy backdrop seems like the aftermath of a riot in prison.

Nara plays the love interest of Namgoong Min’s character while Kim and Choi take on the role of a prison’s doctor and heir to a conglomerate that owns a hospital, respectively.

The second poster, which is seen with the operating room superimposed on a prison cell, features Namgoong Min and Kwon Na-ra. The text beside the actor reads, “Are you curious? Why don’t you join me?”

There are only two weeks left before Doctor Prisoner airs its first episode. According to a representative of the production team, “We hope you look forward to a version of ‘Game of Thrones’ inside a prison with Doctor Prisoner starring Namgoong Min, Kwon Na-ra, Choi Won-young, and Kim Byung-chul. Time is delicate like surgery, and is as if against a blade’s sharp edges.”

Doctor Prisoner will premiere on March 20 at 10 p.m. KST.
