Choi Si-won reportedly cast in TVING drama ‘Oh My Lord’

Multi-hyphenate Choi Si-won will reportedly headline the upcoming original TVING series Oh My Lord (working title).

According to news outlet The Fact, several industry representatives revealed that Choi has been chosen to play Oh My Lord’s male lead character. A broadcast official who requested anonymity also shared that the actor’s “charming character is absolutely necessary for this work.” Choi’s side, however, has yet to issue a statement regarding the casting news.

Previous reports revealed that Jeong Eun-ji (Untouchable), Lee Sun-bin (Team Bulldog: Off-duty Investigation), and Han Sun-hwa (Undercover) have also received lead role offers.

Oh My Lord will center on three women in their 30s who love to drink alcohol while sharing their stories and woes about life. It is an adaptation of the webtoon “Drinking City Maidens” and is scheduled to be produced during the second half of 2021.

Choi Si-won, also known mononymously as Siwon, is a model, singer, and actor. He is best known as a member of the popular boy group Super Junior. While building his success as a globally recognized idol, Siwon continued to strengthen his acting profile. He has appeared in television projects like She Was Pretty (2015), Revolutionary Love (2017), My Fellow Citizens (2019), and most recently, the episode Love Virtually of the SF8 (2020) anthology series.
